Privacy Policy – Specularo Vibe Shopper for Shopify

Specularo Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Specularo Vibe-Shopper app, which includes both a Shopify theme extension (customer-facing try-on interface) and a Shopify admin app (merchant-facing configuration tools). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and protect personal data in connection with both components of the app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect data as needed to provide and improve the app:

From Merchants:

• Store name, domain, email
• OAuth tokens and app configuration
• Usage logs and system events

From Store Visitors:

• Anonymous session data (e.g., chat messages, selections)
• Uploaded images for try-on (upon consent)
• Style/background preferences
• Browser/device info (e.g., IP address, user agent)

2. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data to:

• Generate virtual try-on previews
• Maintain conversation continuity
• Enhance personalization and feature relevance
• Analyze anonymized usage patterns
• Improve our AI models and experience quality

We may use non-identifiable session data to enhance our systems or inform model training. Uploaded images are not used for training unless separately consented to by the merchant.

3. Image Uploads & Consent

When a customer uploads an image:

• A clear consent message is displayed: "By uploading, you consent to image processing. [Privacy Policy]"
• The image is stored securely in cloud infrastructure
• It is used exclusively for generating try-on previews

4. Data Storage & Retention

We store data depending on user type and billing plan:

Guest Users: Images and session data are deleted automatically within a few days of upload

Registered Users: Data is retained according to the store's billing tier, from 72 hours to indefinite retention. Users may delete their data manually via the modal interface.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Local storage and cookies are used only for:

• Preserving session state
• Remembering style/background selections
• Enhancing in-session performance

No third-party tracking or advertising is performed.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share anonymized or processed data with:

• Cloud service providers
• Internal analytics systems
• Authorized partners helping us operate the app

7. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your own, including Israel, where we are headquartered. We comply with applicable international data protection frameworks.

8. Security

We follow industry best practices including:

• HTTPS encryption
• Role-based access control
• Regular infrastructure audits

No internet-based service can guarantee 100% security, but we do our best to protect your data.
